Ford Field Detroit Hotels

Where's the place to go for frantic football games, crazy concerts, breathtaking basketball games, and cool car shows in Detroit, Michigan? Ford Field, of course. The official home of the National Football League Detroit Lions, Ford Field first opened its doors in the summer of 2002. Today, the stadium can accommodate an audience of approximately 65,000 people, and boasts more than 80 concession stands, 11 locker rooms, over 100 bathrooms, and nearly 2 million square feet of space in total.

Although primarily devoted to hosting the Detroit Lions and their visiting opponents, Ford Field is also where fans go for a number of venues, including basketball games, races, musical acts, and tradeshows. In fact, the stadium has welcomed everything from NCAA basketball teams and World Wrestling Entertainment's WrestleMania XXIII, to Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban in concert, and monster truck rallies. Even business meeting and conventions can be held at Ford Field, thanks to a variety of meeting and banquet spaces. While the Hall of Legends alone can seat nearly 400 people, Ford Field's Adams Street area can accommodate up to 1,500. The playing field itself is also available for business venues.
